LIVE EVENTS’ REALITY
Nowadays anyone is making video contents, even from their phones! When you play those contents on the large PA necessary to run those events, the audio quality is often mediocre… This is because the large sound systems act as a magnifying glass, and reveal all the flows which wasn’t found earlier in the production. And this problem gets in turn exacerbated by the often less than perfect acoustics of the rooms in which those events are hosted.
Then it is usually only at this stage, that it is realized that there is problem with the sound. In most cases, the sound person mixing the show, will be asked to correct the sound; while in reality he cannot do it, because a poorly executed production cannot be fixed on the fly!
Having run live events for decades, we have known this problem for a long time… The reality is that it is linked to the nature of what we do: people will continue to bring video contents to the events, and you don’t know how they have been made. This is an uncontrollable situation which takes the overall quality of the events down. At Indigo Mixing and Mastering, we are pioneering a new service to tackle this problematic, and there is an undeniable need for it.
